I agree with you completely.... When I heard other Rep's recommending and sometimes it was the only way to make them work, to check on No Printer I cringed....

Unfortunately there is no way around this issue other than using a printer. Once you set No Printer in the report when exporting or using SaveAs() it does not update the printer info.

I tried a few different ways:

rptClientDoc.PrintOutputController.ModifyPrintOptions(newOpts);

This has always bugged me and I've needed a business case to ask R&D if we could update the printer info using the SDK for this very reason so I'll discuss with the SDK PM and see if he can add this ER.

There is this article on how to set a report to No Printer:

But it doesn't seem to work in the opposite way...

I'll keep testing to see if I can find a way programmatically to update the printer info and ask R&D if we can through an ER if there is no other way to do this.

At least then you can update the reports to a specific printer and enable Dissociate.
