Getting Scrap Quantity through 531 Movement type

Dear SAP Experts

I was having the following issue for Material to Material Transfer:

Scenario

1. FERT Material Unit of Measure is in PCS.

2. To create a scrap stock for the same, while doing its production order confirmation, I use to get the stock of the FERT Material through 531 Movement type in PCS.

3. After the above process, I was transferring that stock to Scrap Material (Waste material type ABF) through MB1B 309 Movement type (Material to Material Stock transfer).

4. Now Client wants to sell that Scrap material in Kgs, so Unit of Measure of the Scrap Material is in Kgs.

Problem

1. The system is throwing an error while transferring the stock from FERT material to Waste Material, because of difference in Units of Measure for both the materials, the rule says the Units of Measure for both the material should me identical to make stock transfer.

My Idea

1. Since Client's user already know how much is the scrap while doing production order confirmation, he can go to MIGO and select Goods issue and select Others and get the Stock of the Scrap Material itself through 531 Movement type, I tried this and the stock is coming for the Scrap material, & if I check the FI & Accounting Document is showing Scrap Stock with the posted quantity and below one more line item saying change in stock.

My Question is

1. Is it correct ?

2. Can I directly get the Scrap material stock through 531 movement type (Receipt of Bi-product in to Unrestricted Stock)?

Clarification

1. Since I am directly getting the Scrap stock through MIGO, there is no inter connection between that FERT material which is in PCS, will this be OK?

or

2. How can we handle this situation  sir?

Please help me with your valuable advise.

Regards

S. Valmiki Sanjeev.
